Level of Privacy

The level of privacy will change depending on not only where you are in terms of local but also where you are in terms of your relationship and what you choose to do on your date. Here we have the level of privacy broken into four groups: Private, Semi-private, Semi-public, and Public.

Private: The name says it all! You want to be alone with your date, with no distractions. You can ask for a private booth in a restaurant or simply have the date at home, where you know no one will disturb you (especially if you unplug the phone!).

Semi-private: You don’t want to be alone the entire time but sometimes you’d like to steal a few moments just between the two of you and that’s perfectly fine.

Semi-public: You don’t want to feel the pressure of a real date but at the same time, you don’t want to give your date the impression that you are “just hanging out and chilling”, as friends.

Public: You are among the people! You’re doing something together and don’t mind being surrounded by a bunch of strangers. This is great for a first date because it’s casual and you both won’t feel an enormous amount of pressure. This can also include a group date with friends.
